In 2006 Jason achieved one of the highest marks in the UK for his DipABRSM Performance Diploma as well as being a finalist in the "Ryszard Bakst Chopin Prize" in Manchester UK. In 2010 he was also awarded the LRSM performance diploma on the piano. He wowed and excited that audience with an explosion of energy and rapid fire finger-work and interpretation.

Jason also has worked as a voluntary musical director and pianist for a Lancashire based theatre group as well as raising money for numerous charities including “Macmillan Cancer Care”, “Friends of Chernobyl’s Children”, “The Booth Homeless Centre”.
Jason is in frequent demand as an accompanist renowned for his sight reading ability and is also a respected piano and music theory teacher with students having many successes in exams and music festivals.
After the interval there was a piano masterclass by Jason Hawkins, who produced seven minutes of non-stop pure artistic, energetic fireworks with Chopin's Polonaise in A flat resulting in a standing ovation.
