Jason Hawkins LRSM is a popular young musician bursting out onto the national and international scene. His electrifying interpretations have led to numerous engagements throughout the UK and Europe. Jason has recently performed in Ireland, Paris, Poland, Rotterdam and extensively throughout the UK. He recently graduated from Chetham's School of Music with the Michael Abraham Piano Prize and is continuing his musical studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. The RNCM recently awarded Jason a place to study organ despite only seriously studying the instrument a mere few months. Jason studied the piano for the first year of College life. Complimenting his other achievements Jason resided as the assistant organist at Bury Parish Church (UK) from 2010 to September 2011.


During summer 2009 Jason performed Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2 alongside the Toruńska Orkiestra Symfoniczna in Toruń, Poland to great audience and critical acclaim. During this time the Polish radio station PiK also interviewed him. Throughout his career Jason has won countless prizes for his vibrant performances and was broadcast on the BBC radio three Breakfast Show in 2008. More recently Jason accompanied for the BBC Philharmonic in the 'Songs from the Bridgewater Canal' project at the Lowry Centre (Salford) and throughout northern Manchester schools.

            In 2006 Jason achieved one of the highest marks in the UK for his DipABRSM Performance Diploma as well as being a finalist in the "Ryszard Bakst Chopin Prize" in Manchester UK. In 2010 he was also awarded the LRSM performance diploma on the piano.         
He wowed and excited that audience with an explosion of energy and rapid fire finger-work and interpretation.

            Jason also has worked as a voluntary musical director and pianist for a Lancashire based theatre group as well as raising money for numerous charities including “Macmillan Cancer Care”, “Friends of Chernobyl’s Children”, “The Booth Homeless Centre”.


            Jason is in frequent demand as an accompanist renowned for his sight reading ability and is also a respected piano and music theory teacher with students having many successes in exams and music festivals.



 After the interval there was a piano masterclass by Jason Hawkins, who produced seven minutes of non-stop pure artistic, energetic fireworks with Chopin's Polonaise in A flat resulting in a standing ovation.
